What was found in the desert near her home?

The couple, who chose not to reveal their identities, described finding one glove about 10 feet from a rock. Another glove was resting on top of the rock, as per a report by the Express US.

Upon taking a closer look, “sure enough, it was a black glove in the desert. It appeared to have looked like it was ripped. It also appeared to look like it had blood on it,” they told the outlet.

"There was two different colors. The blood was more towards the wrist side of the glove, and on the pointer finger, it looked like it was ripped.”

“It didn’t just look like a regular glove. It looked like this was a glove used for something that could’ve possibly been what they were looking for,” the wife told the outlet, as per a report by the Express US.

The husband added, “And also from the glove, it looked like a blood drop on a rock underneath the glove was like dried blood or something."

They emphasized that they did not disturb the scene.

“We didn’t move it or touch it. We immediately were like, we have to do something. So I was like I will call the sheriff department.”

Deputies later questioned the couple before allowing them to leave. Investigators reportedly remained at the scene until around 2 a.m, as per a report by the KVOA News.

Are the gloves being tested as evidence?

The sheriff’s department has said the gloves would be tested if they were collected as evidence, though officials have not confirmed specific findings.

“We cannot confirm at this time. Detectives and agents have collected multiple gloves from the area and analysis is part of the investigation,” the department told the news outlet.

It remains unclear whether the gloves discovered by the couple are directly connected to Nancy’s disappearance.

Meanwhile, the case has continued to generate new claims and developments. An ex-FBI agent recently revealed what was described as a hidden codeword used in a message to alleged kidnappers. Separately, a man claiming to know Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapper has spoken about a demand involving Bitcoin, as per a report by the Express US.

With each passing day, investigators continue to pursue leads in hopes of uncovering what happened on the night Nancy Guthrie vanished.
