Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC reveals Mega Raichu X & Y and new Mega Pokémon

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is coming out on October 16, 2025, but Nintendo already showed new content for it during today’s Nintendo Direct. The new content is a DLC called Pokémon Legends: Z-A: Mega Dimension, which will add extra story parts to the game.

The DLC will feature two new Mega Evolutions for Raichu, called Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Mega Raichu X has a lightning bolt-shaped tail with the letter “X” in its design, while Mega Raichu Y has antlers shaped like the letter Y. The teaser trailer also shows Hoopa travelling between dimensions, but exactly what else will happen in the story is still unknown, as per the report by IGN.

Pre-order Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC

Players can pre-order the DLC today on the Nintendo eShop, and pre-ordering will give special clothing items in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The story content of the DLC will unlock later, after the pre-order bonus items are available.

More Mega Pokémon added

Raichu joins a growing list of new Mega Pokémon being added to Pokémon Legends: Z-A, following recent announcements for Dragonite, Malamar, and Victreebell. Another trailer showed Mega Evolutions for Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja, making the game have more Mega Pokémon than before.

Today’s Nintendo Direct also had news about other games, including Mario, Zelda, Yoshi, and Fire Emblem. Nintendo also gave a first look at Pokémon Pokopia, a new life simulation game similar to Animal Crossing, as stated by IGN.
