Pokémon Horizons Season 2 Part 2: What we know about release date

On the 29th anniversary of Pokémon, Netflix announced that the stop-motion series Pokémon Concierge would return in September. The franchise also revealed new games, including Pokémon Legends Z-A and Pokémon Champions.

Pokémon Movies

The last Pokémon movie, Secrets of the Jungle, was released in 2020. This marks the longest gap in Pokémon movie history. Before this, new Pokémon movies were released yearly since 1998. There are no current plans for a new Pokémon film. The live-action sequel Pokémon Detective Pikachu 2 also has no updates.

Pokémon Horizons Season 2 Part 2

Netflix announced that the second part of Pokémon Horizons: The Series — The Search For Laqua will be released on April 25. The first part of Season 2 was released in February. No trailer has been released yet.

Plot and Characters

The new episodes will continue the journey of protagonists Liko and Roy. They will explore different regions of the Pokémon world with their companions Fuecoco, Sprigatito and Quaxly. Professor Friede and Captain Pikachu will also be part of their adventures.

Pokémon Horizons is the first anime series in the franchise that does not follow Ash Ketchum. Instead, it focuses on new characters and storylines inspired by Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. There is no official confirmation yet about a third season.
