Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the successful swashbuckling film franchise, has suggested that Johnny Depp might return to his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the sixth instalment of the Pirates series. While attending the Oscars for his contribution to Top Gun: Maverick, Jerry Bruckheimer expressed his desire for Johnny Depp to make a comeback in the upcoming Pirates movie during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet.

When pushed for additional information on whether Johnny Depp will return for the next Pirates movie, Bruckheimer did not provide any concrete details but expressed his enthusiasm for the idea, stating that he would love to have Depp back on board.

In the previous year, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard resolved their prolonged legal dispute in which both parties had accused each other of domestic violence. The case concluded with Heard being ordered to pay Depp a sum of $1 million.
