Physical fight breaks out between UFC boss Dana White, wife Anne at New Year’s Eve party in Mexico

Dana White and Anne were reportedly intoxicated when the ugly incident took place. The UFC supremo said he was embarrassed by the situation and said there was no excuse for his actions.

UFC President Dana White and his wife ended up in a physical altercation during a New Year’s Eve party. According to media reports, the MMA business pioneer and his wife were partying in El Squid Roe in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, when the couple had a heated dispute resulting in both slapping each other.

The couple was accompanied by friends to celebrate the New Year before things got ugly between Dana and Anne. A video published by TMZ showed Dana leaning to say something to his wife, which angered her, and she slapped him. The UFC boss retaliated and slapped her twice before those present separated them.

Per media reports, those at the venue said both Dana and Anne were highly intoxicated, and things went wild instantly. However, the eyewitnesses said the situation de-escalated within a minute. Responding to the incident, Dana White reiterated that a man should never put his hands on a woman and said he was embarrassed to be caught in the same situation. The UFC honcho confirmed that he and his wife had been drinking heavily on the night.

Dana said they’ve been married for 30 years and have been through tough times together. He added that the incident in Mexico was one of those horrible moments, and the couple was now concerned about their three kids. Dana said he and his wife had shown the viral video to their kids and were focused on the family.

Dana accepted that people would have opinions on the incident, and most of those would be right. He said such an incident had never happened before and that he deserved whatever people would say about him. He blamed alcohol for the unfortunate rage, though he maintained it wasn’t an excuse for his actions.
