Peter White: 'All My Children' actor dies at 86
Renowned actor Peter White, recognized for his roles in the ABC soap opera All My Children and the original stage production of The Boys in the Band, has sadly passed away at the age of 86. White succumbed to melanoma at his Los Angeles residence.

White was working in the entertainment industry for the past four decades. He was popularly known for his portrayal as Linc Tyler on All My Children, the ABC soap opera. Along with that, he played as important role in the original stage production and subsequent film adaptation of The Boys in the Band.
In The Boys in the Band, White portrayed Alan McCarthy, a character integral to the groundbreaking drama that brought forward a diverse representation of gay characters in American theater. The play, which opened off-Broadway in 1968, was a milestone in LGBTQ+ representation, challenging prevailing norms in the theatrical landscape.
He also graced the silver screen with roles such as Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing, Cannon, Hill Street Blues, The Jeffersons, and The West Wing, to name a few.
White in addition to his TV career has made notable appearances in films, including Dave (1993), Mother (1996), Armageddon (1998), and First Daughter (2004). His versatility as an actor garnered him recognition across various mediums.
