Peru protests leave around 300 tourists stranded in Machu Pichu
Almost 300 tourists are stuck in Machu Pichu, an ancient city in Peru, due to the emergency created because of their president’s ousting.

In early December, the previous president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, was accused and arrested. This happened after his announcement regarding dissolving Congress. And all these led to an emergency and warning to all the people who were about to visit Peru. Almost 300 people already there are now stuck in Mach Pichu, an old city in Peru.
Details of the Unrest in Peru
The Mayor of Machu Pichu, Darwin Baca, gave details of the stranded people, which include Americans, Peruvians, Europeans, and South Americans. So, they have requested the Government to arrange a helicopter to rescue these travellers from the city. This is because the only way to go out of the city, by train service, is suspended till any notice comes. The Government of the United States has contacted the American people stuck in Peru and trying to rescue them at the earliest.
