In The Lightning Thief, Percy fights the Chimera, who is a mystical beast and has a body of the combination of characteristic features of several animals, most predominantly that of a lion who is at the St. Louis Arch’s top.

When he loses to the beast, Percy finds himself falling from the hilltop into the water. Since he is the son of Poseidon, he survives the fall.

This is the first time that the segment involving St.Louis Arch has been adapted on the screen as it has been removed from the movies of Percy Jackson.
