American businessman and husband of US house speaker Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi, was violently attacked in their home, Friday morning. San Francisco Chief of Police William Scott said the dispatcher’s intuition and quick thinking resulted in a faster police response.

The dispatcher, Heather Grimes received a call from Pelosi himself. It was her quick thinking that helped in sending help to their home quickly. The attackers came into the house from the back door. They were asking for the speaker shouting, "Where is Nancy?"

Police Chief Scott said that this was an intentional attack. The police are investigating the case, but they have not released any official reports yet.

The attack has come at a time of intense political tensions. President Biden has asked the political leaders to reject violence. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said he was "disgusted by the attacks".

President Joe Biden has said there is no place in America for violence.
