Pacers roll past Thunder to force Game 7 in NBA Finals

Obi Toppin came off the bench to score 20 points, sparking a balanced offensive effort as the Indiana Pacers cruised to a 108-91 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night in Indianapolis.

With the win, the Pacers evened the series and forced a decisive Game 7 on Sunday in Oklahoma City - the first NBA Finals to go the distance since 2016.

Indiana took control early and never looked back, forcing 21 turnovers and capitalizing on Oklahoma City's mistakes.



The Pacers used a dominant second-quarter surge to seize momentum, outscoring the Thunder 30-9 over the final eight-plus minutes of the half to take a commanding 64-42 lead into the break.

Pascal Siakam delivered a strong all-around performance with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Andrew Nembhard added 17 points.

Tyrese Haliburton, playing through a calf injury, contributed 14 points and five assists. TJ McConnell provided a big spark with 12 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and four steals.


Siakam’s emphatic dunk in the final minute of the second quarter, followed by a smooth jumper before the buzzer, capped Indiana’s dominant first-half run.

After committing 23 turnovers in Game 5, the Pacers were far more composed in Game 6, turning the ball over just twice in the first half.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 21 points but had a playoff career-worst eight turnovers and only two assists. Jalen Williams, coming off a 40-point performance in Game 5, was limited to 16 points.

Oklahoma City struggled offensively, hitting just 8-of-30 from beyond the arc, including 1-of-11 in the first half. Their 91-point total marked their lowest offensive output of the season.
