Ozzy Osbourne's official cause of death revealed: The world has lost a genuine rock icon. Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman and reality television star, died at the age of 76. He died surrounded by family, leaving an unforgettable musical legacy.

According to a death certificate submitted to a London registry, Ozzy Osbourne, the heavy metal and reality TV star, suffered from Parkinson's and coronary artery disease before passing away from a heart attack, as per a report by the New York Times.


Aimée Osbourne, Osbourne's daughter, submitted the document, which notes that he had Parkinson's disease and names coronary artery disease and cardiac arrest as contributing factors.

According to the certificate, Osbourne passed away from "(a) Acute myocardial infarction (b) Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes)." The document was acquired by the New York Times on Tuesday.

What were Ozzy's final days like?

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at his home in Buckinghamshire, England. An air ambulance was dispatched to his home that morning and flew to Harefield Hospital in Uxbridge, where it stayed for about an hour.

Ozzy had been dealing with a lot of health problems, but he had just played at Black Sabbath's farewell concert in Birmingham on July 5. It was his first show with the band in 20 years and his last. He was clearly limited in movement while sitting on a throne with skull armrests, but he still had a strong presence.
