Oscar nominee and 'The Godfather' actor James Caan died from a heart attack
The reason for the passing of James Cann, actor of the legendary film "The Godfather" has been revealed, he died due to a heart attack on July 6. His co-actors including Al Pacino and Francis Ford Coppola, amongst others condoled his death.

His doctor informed the reason for the actor's heart failure was myocardial infarction from coronary artery disease. The hospital document reveals it is a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart failure. James Caan's last resting place is at the Eden Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.

The actor was an eminent personality and has been nominated for 4 Golden Globe awards, 1 Oscar, and 1 Emmy; however, he never won any but had a huge fan following. He was also a Karate exponent and had been given a rank of 6 Dan. In his personal life, the actor married four times and fathered five children.
Al Pacino, his cinematic brother and teammate in the film "The Godfather", had only kind words to say about James Caan. He mentioned that James was his "fictional brother" and lifelong friend whom he greatly loves and that he will certainly miss him a lot.
The director of "The Godfather", Francis Ford Coppola, too, had warm words for the late actor and director and praised his role in his film " The Godfather ".
