NBCUniversal's Peacock is set to welcome Christopher Nolan's acclaimed blockbuster, "Oppenheimer," for streaming on February 16, nearly seven months after its theatrical release on July 21, 2023. The three-hour historical epic, starring Cillian Murphy in the title role, has garnered multiple awards, including five Golden Globes.

Alongside "Oppenheimer," Peacock will also offer a collection of Nolan-directed films available for streaming starting February 1. These films include "Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight," "The Dark Knight Rises," "Dunkirk," "Inception," and "Memento."

At the recent Golden Globes, "Oppenheimer" secured victories in five categories: best motion picture drama, best director for Nolan, best male actor-drama for Murphy, best male actor in a supporting role for Robert Downey Jr., and best original score for Ludwig Göransson.

The drama unfolds the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, tracing his journey from a physics student to his role as the director of the Manhattan Project, and culminating in his 1954 security hearing. The star-studded cast features Matt Damon as Manhattan Project director Leslie Groves Jr., Emily Blunt as Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, and Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, a founding commissioner of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. Additional cast members include Florence Pugh, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett, Rami Malek, Casey Affleck, and more.

"Oppenheimer" achieved global success, grossing $950 million and becoming the highest-grossing biopic in history. Reflecting on its box office triumph, Nolan noted, “It’s clear from the box office that audiences are looking for things they haven’t seen before." He emphasized the film's innovative approach, blending elements of a heist film and courtroom drama to engage with the audience effectively.
