The comic star received an Elvis farewell, with the show’s host, Austin Butler, pulling the curtains back with a Blue Christmas performance. Other members of the popular weekend show also joined. During her Weekend Update performance, Cecily was visibly emotional and said she was there to say goodbye.
Cecily joined Saturday Night Live as a featured player in September 2012, but was promoted to a regular in subsequent seasons.She joins a long list of former cast members, including Pete Davidson, Kyle Mooney, Aidy Bryant, and Chris Redd.Before the start of the 48th season, the makers dropped Melissa Villasenor, Aristotle Athari, and Alex Moffat.
