Oklo stock

Oklo stock surged early Friday after the nuclear company announced a new agreement with Facebook-parent Meta Platforms that ties the company directly to Meta’s expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Oklo stock today jumps as Meta deal fuels AI-driven nuclear demand

The rally came as Meta revealed two nuclear power deals aimed at securing long-term, clean energy for its data center operations. While one agreement involved S&P 500 utility Vistra, investors focused sharply on Oklo’s role in supporting Meta’s AI ambitions.

Why Oklo stock is climbing on Meta’s AI expansion

Oklo said Friday it has entered into an agreement with Meta that advances development of a planned 1.2-gigawatt nuclear energy campus in Pike County, Ohio, as per a report. Under the deal, power generated at the site will be used to supply Meta’s data centers in the region.

Urvi Parekh, Meta’s head of global energy, said the agreement with Oklo will support Meta’s AI supercluster in New Albany, Ohio, as per an IBD report. Financial details of Meta’s investment in Oklo were not disclosed.

Shares of Oklo jumped more than 18% in pre-market trading on Friday, putting the stock on track to open above $114, as per the IBD report. Despite the surge, Oklo stock remains about 50% below its record high of 193.84 reached on Oct. 15, after delivering a 238% gain over the course of last year.

Vistra stock also climbs on Meta nuclear power deal

The Oklo announcement followed a separate, larger nuclear power deal between Meta and Vistra, which also sent Vistra shares sharply higher before the market open. Vistra said it signed 20-year power purchase agreements to supply more than 2,600 megawatts of nuclear energy from three of its plants to support Meta’s operations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, beginning in late 2026 and ramping up through 2034, as per the IBD report.

Meta’s nuclear energy strategy for AI growth

Meta’s push into nuclear energy reflects its growing power needs as it scales artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Parekh said that Meta is "investing in nuclear energy because it provides clean, reliable power that is essential for advancing our AI ambitions and strengthening American leadership in energy innovation," as quoted by IBD.

Friday’s deals build on Meta’s earlier 20-year nuclear agreement with Constellation Energy, announced in June 2025, underscoring why Oklo’s direct link to Meta’s data center expansion is the key driver behind the stock’s sharp move higher today.
