Severe weather moved across Oklahoma from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The storms brought heavy rain, strong winds and a risk of tornadoes. Oklahoma City is now clear, but other areas still face severe weather risks. Power outages and road disruptions were reported. More storms are expected later in the week, media reports said.

Severe Weather

Meteorologists warned about possible storms on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The weather conditions supported strong winds, heavy rain and the chance of tornadoes. Central Oklahoma faced a high risk of severe weather, with wind speeds between 60 and 80 mph and large hail predicted.

Oklahoma City is no longer at risk, according to reports citing meteorologists. The storms have shifted eastward. A tornado watch remains in effect until 10 a.m. for several counties in northern, central and southern Oklahoma. More storms are expected on Thursday morning, mostly in southeastern Oklahoma. Friday and Saturday will bring more rain, the reports said.
