Austin Bellamy, who lives in Ohio, the US, seemed to have run out of luck when he climbed a lemon tree to trim its branches. He accidentally disturbed the hive of African killer bees, who then attacked him. This Ohio man suffered a lot of pain while he was on the tree while getting surrounded by the bees. The situation worsened as he was stung over 20,000 times and even swallowed 30 bees. But there is something to cheer for as Bellamy has recovered and woke up from the medically induced coma.
What did Bellamy’s family reveal about his condition? Bellamy’s mother, Shawna Carter, started a funding campaign to cover the medical expenses after he was airlifted and taken to a medical centre in Corryville. She revealed on the same page how Bellamy had to be put on a ventilator because he couldn’t breathe. He was admitted on Saturday, and it took hours for the doctors to flush out the bees from his stomach he accidentally swallowed.
His grandparents, Dustin and Phyllis Edwards, also told how Bellamy was shouting for help, and no one was there to take him down from the tree. Bees even surrounded them so they couldn’t reach out to him on time. The stings caused severe inflammation, and every part of his body swelled up.

What is the present condition of Austin Bellamy? Bellamy woke up from a medically induced coma. Though the inflammations had reduced considerably from what they looked like when he was admitted, he is still facing problems in breathing. Apart from this, he is also facing trouble walking properly.
