The calamity unfolded shortly before 9 a.m. near the Smoke Road underpass, turning the morning commute into a nightmare for 57 individuals from an eastern Ohio school. The collision, shrouded in uncertainty about its cause, sparked a fierce blaze, capturing the attention of emergency responders. Disturbing images surfaced, revealing the charred remains of the bus's rear.
A swift response from paramedics, firefighters, and police from Licking County and eastern Franklin County ensued.
