Offseason trouble returns for Browns as Quinshon Judkins arrested with domestic violence charge
Cleveland Browns' rookie running back Quinshon Judkins, drafted to replace Nick Chubb, was arrested in Florida on battery and domestic violence charges just before training camp. This incident jeopardizes his immediate availability and could trigg...

According to public records, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department took Judkins into custody early Saturday morning, July 12.
The official charge, as listed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, is “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence.” He remains in custody as of now.
Set to replace Chubb
Judkins was drafted to potentially become the Browns' lead back after the team parted ways with veteran Nick Chubb, who signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans.
His arrest comes at a critical time, with Browns rookies scheduled to report for minicamp on July 18.
The incident not only casts doubt over his immediate availability but could also trigger action under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, which applies even before a player signs a contract.
Judkins is also one of several second-round picks yet to sign their rookie contracts.
Another offseason trouble for the Browns
This marks the second consecutive offseason in which a Browns rookie has been arrested on domestic violence charges before playing a game. Last year, it was defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., also a second-round selection.
With Judkins' future unclear, the Browns may now lean more heavily on fourth-round pick Dylan Sampson to carry the load in training camp and potentially the regular season.
No court date has been set in Judkins’ case, and the Browns have not issued a public statement yet.
