Office Depot has sacked one of its employees after the staff concerned refused to print posters for vigil organized for Charlie Kirk who was assassinated at Utah Valley University. The incident occurred at Store 3382 in Portage, Michigan. The American e-retailer has also issued a public apology to its customers cited the incident as "regrettable situation". Office Depot in a statement said that the employee's behaviour violated the company's policies.

Office Depot stated after learning about the incident, it reached out to the complainant and launched an internal review. "As a result, the associate involed is no longer with the organization", Office Depot stated.

The company has also taken tough measures to avoid such situation in the near future. "We are committed to reinforcing training with all team members to ensure our standards of respect, integrity, and customer service are upheld at every location. Our customers and communities deserve nothing less," Office Depot stated.

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, died on Wednesday after he was shot at an event at Utah Valley University.

The man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk was being held Friday at the Utah County jail. 22-year-od Tyler Robinson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm, and obstruction of justice charges, according to a court affidavit. A judge ordered that he be held without bail. Formal charges are expected early next week.

Moments before he was killed at a Utah university Wednesday, Charlie Kirk was taking a question about transgender people and mass shootings. “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” the event attendee asked. “Too many,” Kirk replied.
