What is NYT Connections?
Connections is a daily word puzzle created by the New York Times Games team. Players are presented with 16 words and must sort them into four groups of four, with each group sharing a specific connection.
Yellow is the most straightforward
Green adds a layer of challenge
Blue requires deeper thinking
Although several words may appear related, only one correct combination solves the puzzle.
How to play NYT Connections?
When the game opens, you’ll see a four-by-four grid filled with words. Your task is to select four words that belong together and submit them as a group.
- Correct groups are removed and labeled
- Incorrect guesses count as mistakes
- You’re allowed up to four errors before the game ends
Players can shuffle the board at any time to help spot patterns. Like Wordle, Connections resets daily at midnight, allowing just one attempt per day.
