NYC shooting suspect of 20-year-old woman in Manhattan still untraceable, commissioner urges people for information of accused
The woman pushing a baby stroller was shot from 'point-blank' distance on Upper East Side, which is merely some blocks away from NYC mayor's house.

As per a report from the leading news agency till 6:48 a.m. Thursday no arrest was confirmed by the NYPD personnel, however investigation was in progress. The identity of the deceased 20-year-old will be made public after proper family notification. NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell stated at the press conference late Wednesday that the relationship concerning the suspect at-large and the deceased woman is under investigation.
The incident of shooting took place on a footpath in front of a public school in the Manhattan area. It is the area, where billionaires live on one side of the block and the deprived on the other. Interestingly, the incident spot is blocks away from New York City mayor’s official residence, Gracie Mansion.
At 8:23 p.m. approx. on Wednesday, officers got the information of a person shot near 164 E., 95th Street. Later when the officers reached the spot they discovered a 20-year-old female in an unconscious state with a gunshot wound on her head. She was rushed to the Metropolitan Hospital, where she was declared dead at 9:20 p.m., Sewell said during the press conference.
According to initial investigation the woman was pushing a three-month-old baby in a stroller. Just then an unknown person came near and shot into her head from a very close distance. After the shooting, the accused escaped from the spot on foot and headed towards Eastbound on E. 95th Street. The suspect is reported to be a male in all-black clothing with a hooded sweatshirt and pant.
NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell has released a helpline number 1-800-577-TIPS and urged people to provide with information, if any, about the suspect. The identity of the caller will be kept anonymous.
