NYC shocker: New York Subway rider stabbed in stomach after askinsg fellow passenger to stop talking So Loudly on his phone

In a shocking incident, a New York City subway rider was stabbed on a Queens train on Saturday morning (November 22, 2025) after asking another passenger to stop talking loudly on his cell phone. Police said that the 54-year-old victim requested the stranger while riding an E train at the Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer station around 11 AM, according to the New York Post.

The talkative subway rider allegedly responded by punching the victim several times in the face before stabbing him in the abdomen, according to police. The attacker jumped off the train at the station and was caught in the wind, police said. The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

The identity of the 54-year-old victim in the case has not been made public, and he told officers that he had been stabbed while aboard the E train.

How the stabbing incident unfolded

Reports by the New York Post and New York Daily News claim that the victim had told a man sitting near him that he was speaking too loudly, and the other man began to argue with the victim. The situation quickly became violent, per the outlets, as the man allegedly punched the victim in the face several times before stabbing him in the abdomen using a blade.

The attack comes a day after a homeless man was arrested for allegedly slashing two men in their faces in a caught-on-video outburst on a busy subway platform in Queens last week.
