The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is a suspension bridge that links Staten Island and Brooklyn in New York City. The Narrows is a body of water traversed from the public Lower New York Bay and the Atlantic Ocean to the private Upper New York Bay. It's the only crossing that is open year-round in the Narrows.
The 2020 New York City Race was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic, although this year's marathon should be more on a par with years before.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on November 6, the bridge will be closed to any vehicle traffic till 4 p.m.
In addition, the upper level of the Verrzazzano will be closed starting at 11 p.m. on Saturday night, November 5, to allow for roadway preparation, and will remain closed until 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 6.
