Nvidia stock price on Boxing Day: Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq down; All eyes on Magnificent Seven stocks
Wall Street indexes -- Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq -- were trading in red and Nvidia stock price was also down ahead of regular session.

The US stock index futures were lower on Thursday in light trading volumes after the Christmas holiday, as investors took stock of their portfolios and looked for a boost for the final month of the year from the so-called Santa Claus rally, Reuters reported.
Heavyweight Nvidia dropped 1.1 per cent in premarket trading, while Google-parent Alphabet shed 0.5 per cent. At 05:03 am (ET), Dow E-minis were down 146 points, or 0.33 per cent, S&P 500 E-minis were down 26.75 points, or 0.44 per cent and Nasdaq 100 E-minis were down 118.75 points, or 0.54 per cent, as per a Reuters report.
The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq wrapped up Tuesday's truncated session with a third straight session of gains lifted by megacap and growth stocks.
Gains in Apple, Tesla, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Microsoft and Meta Platforms accounted for more than half of the S&P 500's 28.4 per cent total return this year, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices Senior Index Analyst Howard Silverblatt.
Without the Magnificent Seven stocks, the benchmark index's total return would have been 13.2 per cent in 2024, Silverblatt added.
The US stocks have hit a speed bump this month following election-led gains in November as they contend with the Federal Reserve's projection of fewer interest rate cuts in 2025.
