Nvidia employee policy: Extra offs, lucrative monetary incentive, Jensen Huang's 'direct' approach, inside details of world's most valuable company's work-life balance
Nvidia is heading for the magical USD 6 trillion market cap and here are details of how the AI chip maker maintains professional relationship with its employees.

Santa Clara, California, headquartered company's HR director Febe Punsalan has given details of its employee policy. Punsalan said that Nvidia's organizational structure includes minimum layers. Jensen Huang oversees as many as 36 direct reports. Rather than strict chains of command, Nvidia exhorts employees to express their thoughts and one-on-one dialogue.
Nvidia offers employees to buy company's shares at a discounted price as a part of monetary incentive. However, a certain portion of employees have claimed there is "pressure cooker" environment with many expect to do late night working, Fortune reported.
According to reports, Nvidia offers hybrid work programme as part of improving work-life balance. Apart from this, Nvidia also offers its employees two additional days of offs in each quarter around the world.
Life-long support for staff and their ageing parents, paternity and maternity leave, help for student loans, IVF and surrogacy expenses reimbursement, special programs for neurodiverse employees, Punsalan was quoted as saying by Fortune.
The new disclosure of the president's investment in one of the world's most valuable companies comes as his administration weighs policies that could shape Nvidia's fortunes, including rules governing exports of its advanced chips.
White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said in a statement to Reuters that third-party financial institutions independently manage the president's portfolio and replicate "recognized indexes, such as the Schwab 1000."
Huang is set to receive the National Medal of Science from Trump on Thursday. The award honors Americans who have made "outstanding contributions to knowledge in the physical, biological, mathematical, engineering, or social and behavioral sciences, in service to the nation," according to the National Science Foundation's website.
"All investment decisions are made entirely by independent managers," Ingle said. "There are no conflicts of interest,” Ingle said. Trump is also set to give the same award to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Google co-founder Sergey Brin on Thursday.
