Porter, who turned 27 on Sunday, has spent all six of his NBA seasons with Denver. Despite battling injuries, including a serious back issue that delayed his debut, he has been a key contributor.
Last season, he averaged 18.2 points and 7.0 rebounds over 77 games, and posted 13.4 points and 8.1 boards during the Nuggets’ 2023 championship run. Over his career, Porter has averaged 16.2 points and 6.4 rebounds across 345 games.
Johnson, 29, comes off a career-best season with the Nets, putting up 18.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 57 appearances. Originally with the Suns, he was traded to Brooklyn in 2023 as part of the Kevin Durant deal. He holds career averages of 12.9 points and 3.9 rebounds.
In a separate move, guard Bruce Brown is returning to Denver on a one-year, $3.63 million deal. A key piece of the Nuggets’ 2023 title team, Brown, 28, has career averages of 8.9 points and 4.2 rebounds across seven seasons with six teams. He split last year between Toronto and New Orleans, averaging 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds.
