A spokesman for Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer has confirmed that Labour MP Nadia was ordered to delete a tweet regarding Rishi Sunak that stated him becoming a prime minister 'isn’t a win for Asian representation'

Reportedly, Sir Keir was asked whether he instructed Nadia Whittome's tweet deletion to which he answered and confirmed that Whittome was asked to remove the tweet about Sunak's election as Prime Minister. The Labour leader said that welcoming the first Asian Prime Minister is a real milestone for the country. He further added that during a private call with Sunak, the first thing he did was to congratulate him.He added: '[Rishi Sunak and I] had a private call last night, and the first thing I did was to congratulate him for being a prime minister of British Asian descent, and it’s really, really important that I did that.'
But Sir Keir did not mention whether he asked Labour MP Nadia Whittome to delete the tweet or not.
