Not Area 51: Scientists reveal the most likely alien hideouts — some inside our Solar System

Scientists say aliens are not hiding in Area 51. Experts believe life may exist on distant planets with water and the right temperature. Some moons in our Solar System, like Enceladus and Titan, may also have hidden oceans where life could survive...

Not Area 51: Scientists reveal the most likely alien hideouts — some inside our Solar System
Former US President Barack Obama said aliens could be real, but he does not know where they are, he said this in an interview with Brian Tyler Cohen. Obama clearly said aliens are NOT hidden in Area 51, which is a famous US Air Force base linked to alien theories. He joked that there is no secret underground alien base because even a US president would know.

Later, Obama wrote on Instagram that the universe is very big. He said because it is so big, life could exist somewhere else. But he also said stars are very, very far from each other. So it is very unlikely that aliens can travel all the way to Earth. Scientists say the best place to look for alien life is on planets like Earth. These planets are not too hot and not too cold, so they can have liquid water. This area is called the “Goldilocks zone.

These planets are usually inside a “Goldilocks zone,” where temperature allows liquid water. Professor Mark Burchell from the University of Kent said there are so many stars and planets that life can appear on some, he told this to Daily Mail. He also said scientists mainly look for planets with water because life usually needs water.

Planets scientists think may have life

One top candidate is TRAPPIST-1e, an Earth-size planet about 40 light-years away. It sits in the safe zone of its star, meaning liquid water may exist there. Studies using the James Webb Space Telescope found it likely has an atmosphere like Earth.

Another strong candidate is K2-18b, a giant ocean planet 124 light-years away. Scientists detected chemicals linked to living organisms there. Professor Nikku Madhusudhan said the data best fits a world full of ocean life. However, Dr David Armstrong warned the evidence is weak and still debated, he told Daily Mail.

Scientists also study twin planets Kepler-62e and Kepler-62f. Both are inside their star’s habitable zone and may have water. NASA even called Kepler-62f one of the most promising life-friendly planets, NASA stated this in a 2015 document.

Possible alien life inside our Solar System

Scientists say we may not need to look far because alien life could exist in our own Solar System, Dr David Armstrong explained this. Saturn’s moon Enceladus is a major candidate. It shoots water plumes into space from an underground ocean. NASA’s Cassini collected ice samples containing complex molecules. Scientists say Enceladus now ticks almost all conditions needed for life.

Another strong candidate is Saturn’s moon Titan. New studies show Titan has slushy underground water tunnels. Professor Baptiste Journaux said this affects how nutrients and energy could support life, as he told Daily Mail. Some water pockets there may be warm enough for life.

Why scientists think aliens likely exist

Scientists use something called the Drake Equation to estimate alien civilizations. It studies things like star numbers, planets, and habitable conditions. Studies show the odds of humans being the only intelligent life are extremely low. Data from NASA’s Kepler mission indicates advanced alien life likely existed somewhere, as per Daily Mail report.

FAQs

Q1. Did Barack Obama say aliens are in Area 51?
