The Nobel panel will announce the winner(s) for the medicine or physiology Nobel Prize today. The event will take place in Sweden at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. The researchers include those who helped develop the mRNA technology used in Covid vaccines. These vaccines saved millions of lives during Pandemic. Last year, the recipients were Ardem Patapoutian and David Julius for their discoveries of how our human bodies perceive touch and temperature.

The following week will be announcements for several Nobel Prizes, and the medicine prize will kick things off. The Nobel prize for physics will be announced on Tuesday, the Chemistry prize on Wednesday, and the Literature prize on Thursday. The panel will announce the Nobel Peace Prize 2022 on Friday and the award for Economics on October 10.
