No 'Warrior Nun' season 3 on Netflix? Find out here

Netflix decided to end "Warrior Nun" after two seasons. Since its premiere, the show has gotten so many positive reviews and a sizable fan following, but it wasn't enough to keep it going for another season.

Netflix has decided that "Warrior Nun" will not be extended for another season. The decision was made a little more than a month after the fantasy action series' second season premiered on Netflix on November 1. The show’s creator, Simon Barry, confirmed the news by tweeting about it.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "I’ve just found out that @netflix will not be renewing #WarriorNun - my sincere appreciation to all the fans who worked so hard to bring awareness to this series, and for the love, you showed me, the cast and the whole production team. It was a privilege to be a part of this."

Since its premiere, the show has gotten so many positive reviews and a sizable fan following, but it wasn't enough to keep it going for another season. Season 2 only stayed on the English-language weekly top 10 on Netflix for three weeks, peaking at number five.


As the streaming service weighs watching time vs. cost when deciding whether to continue a show, Warrior Nun's second-season rating performance also follows the trend of previous shows that Netflix has cancelled.

For the uninitiated, "Warrior Nun" is based on Ben Dunn's original comic book character Warrior Nun Areala.
