Why Some People Won’t Get an SSI Payment in November
However, not everyone will receive a payment in November, especially those who rely solely on SSI benefits.According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries already received two checks in October, one for October and one early payment for November, as per The Arizona Republic report. Because November 1 falls on a Saturday, the November SSI payment was sent out on October 31.
That means no SSI payments will be issued in November. The next check for SSI recipients will arrive on Dec. 1, followed by the January 2025 payment, which will be sent early on December 31, as per the report.
About 7.4 million Americans who are elderly, disabled, or have limited income receive monthly SSI benefits, and roughly half of them also get Social Security, as per The Arizona Republic report.

Regular Social Security Payments Continue on Schedule
For the nearly 74 million Americans who receive regular Social Security benefits, payments will be issued on schedule this month. The SSA’s November 2025 payment calendar is as follows, reported The Arizona Republic:- Nov. 12: For those with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month
- Nov. 19: For birthdays between the 11th and 20th
- Nov. 26: For birthdays between the 21st and the 31st
Upcoming SSI Payment Dates for 2025
The Social Security Administration’s 2025 SSI schedule lists the following dates:- Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 (for November 2025)
- Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 (for December 2025)
- Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025 (for January 2026)
Will Government Shutdown Impact Social Security
Despite ongoing furloughs, Social Security payments are continuing without interruption, because these programs are funded separately and are not affected by the congressional standoff, as per the report.Still, recipients may experience some service delays. While local offices remain open, only essential services are available, as per The Arizona Republic report.
According to the SSA, the following services are still available during the shutdown, as per the report:
- Applying for benefits or requesting an appeal
- Changing an address or direct deposit information
- Reporting a death or verifying citizenship
- Replacing a lost or missing payment
- Issuing critical payments and new or replacement Social Security cards

Social Security offices remain open across Arizona and other states. Residents can locate their nearest branch by visiting ssa.gov/locator, as per the report.
