Former Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star Brandi Glanville is facing difficult times as she continues to deal with complex health struggles. She recently opened up about multiple diagnoses related to the facial parasite she has been undergoing treatment for. She shared more details about her current situation, which has continuously plagued her health and finances, forcing her to raise funds through a GoFundMe.

Glanville, 53, has been quite vocal about her health issues in recent years, ranging from severe facial disfigurement to painful fungal skin infections. Much of her health decline began when a ruptured breast implant went undetected, leading to severe inflammation and compromised lymph nodes.

Ever since her implants were removed, Glanville has insisted they triggered her severe facial infections, which she revealed had spread down her right arm and resulted in a "fungal ball" on her face. Since starting her treatment, it has been a long and grueling journey for her, and also it's been tough for her to admit that she might now need financial help in order to continue that treatment.

“I’m finally sharing some of my worst moments leading up to getting diagnosed. I’m fighting highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella & Enterobacter with biofilm, Valley Fever, Demodex dermatitis & mono. I also have a fungal ball in my face that needs to be removed,” Glanville said in a post on X.

“I have surgeries ahead, months of daily IV treatment, and so far very little improvement. Even with insurance, this is costing me $3,300–$6K a month, and I’m barely able to work. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do this mentally or financially,” she added.

While Glanville did not shy away from admitting that asking for help is not easy for her, the physical, financial, and mental toll has become overwhelming, leaving her with a clear desire to just get her life back.

Brandi Glanville breaks down during podcast

During an episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast, she said, "I'm embarrassed, honestly, because I don’t like to ask for help." “I never thought I would do this,” she added, noting that her close friend Gina Rodriguez, who set up the GoFundMe, told her, “You have no choice.”

She was apparently extremely frustrated trying to hold back tears during the podcast. Co-host James Maas replied, "It's not embarrassing. What’s embarrassing is the whole medical system … You need a GoFundMe.” Glanville also threatened to cut the fungal ball out of her face if she could not find a doctor who would.

What does Brandi Glanville’s GoFundMe says?

The GoFundMe, which has already raised over $17,000, states, "For the past three years, RHOBH Alum, Brandi Glanville, has been fighting an illness that has completely changed her life. She has gone from doctor to doctor searching for answers while her health continued to decline. Now, after years of uncertainty, she finally has diagnoses and a treatment plan, but the road ahead is long, painful, and incredibly expensive.”

"Brandi has been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (valley fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis. Doctors have also identified a fungal ball in her face that needs to be removed. Her treatment plan requires months of daily IV medication through a PICC line, and she is expected to remain on treatment for at least 4–6 months, possibly longer depending on how her body responds.”

"And the IV treatment is only part of what lies ahead. Brandi has multiple procedures and surgeries ahead of her. She needs the fungal ball removed from her face, old metal dental work removed, and her breast implants removed as part of the treatment plan recommended by her doctors."
