No. 15 Michigan trails No. 18 Oklahoma at halftime. On the Sooners' first drive of the game, John Mateer connected with Deion Burks for the 9-yard touchdown reception to give OU an early 7-0 lead.

Michigan's early offensive struggles

Michigan had its first offensive drive stalled at midfield, and the Wolverines were forced to punt.

Mateer overthrew his receiver late in the first quarter, and Michigan's TJ Metcalf picked it off for the game's first turnover.

Second quarter field goal miss keeps Oklahoma ahead

Wolverines had the following drive stalled to start the second quarter, still down 7-0. Both teams exchanged punts, and Michigan put together a good drive, but Wolverines' kicker Dominic Zvada missed a 32-yard field goal to keep the deficit at seven points for Michigan.

Oklahoma extends lead before halftime

The Sooners followed that up with a long drive that ended with a Mateer 2-yard rushing touchdown to give Oklahoma a 14-0 lead. OU took that lead to halftime.
