Nintendo Switch Successor release date: What we know so far
Nintendo Switch Successor is likely to be released next year, as per report. However the exact date for the release has not been officially announced.

Nintendo has been notably reticent when it comes to divulging details about the future of its hardware, often remaining elusive when questioned. Earlier this summer, for instance, when investors inquired whether the Switch, released in 2017, was nearing the end of its life cycle, President Shuntaro Furukawa emphasized the longevity of its software, without suggesting it would be replaced by a different console.
Nintendo's strategy involves the launch of two new models by the conclusion of 2024 – a standard version and an all-digital model. This approach follows a pattern similar to that adopted by Xbox and PlayStation, which have successively released both standard and digital consoles, according to reports.
The anticipated pricing for the new consoles is projected to commence at $400 for the all-digital variant, with the standard version set to be priced at $450, as per reports. These price points align with those of standard Xbox and PlayStation consoles. However, it's important to note that the reported pricing is not yet finalized and may be subject to adjustments in the future.
Earlier in September, the family office linked to Nintendo's founder plans to raise its buyout bid for Japan's Toyo Construction, a source told Reuters, after it successfully reshuffled the board that had resisted its offer, as per a Reuters report.
Yamauchi-No.10 Family Office (YFO), Toyo's largest investor with a 28.51 per cent stake, is now planning to offer 1,255 yen ($8.44) per share, up from its initial offer last year of 1,000 yen, the source with direct knowledge of the matter said, Reuters reported.
YFO's initial 1,000 yen offer was higher than a 770 yen per share offer from an industry rival which Toyo had endorsed at the time, when its shares were trading at around 600 yen, Reuters reported.
It took about nine months for Toyo to form a special committee to assess YFO's offer, which YFO said acted against shareholders' interest. At an annual meeting in June, Toyo shareholders approved seven of nine directors backed by YFO, allowing these directors to form a majority of the board, as per Reuters.
