Responding to Vivek's post on X, Nalin wrote, “This creep should not be near any child, and we absolutely can’t have his third-world parenting style imposed on American kids.”
Ramaswamy, running for Ohio governor in 2026, recently unveiled a plan to overhaul public education, arguing that students are falling behind. His proposals include year-round schooling, longer school days, enhanced academic standards, phonics-based reading programs, performance-linked teacher pay, expanded school choice, and removal of 'ideological content' from classrooms, aiming to address perceived gaps in reading and math achievement.
In his post, Nalin also referenced a 2022 remark by Ramaswamy, in which he reportedly suggested that Republicans adopt rhyme-based slogans like 'wait until 8' - a proposed alternative to Florida’s “don’t say gay” law - implying that sex-education lessons should start only at age eight.
Education remains a central issue in US political debates, with Republicans advocating structural reforms, curriculum oversight, and expanded alternatives to public schooling. Ramaswamy’s 2026 gubernatorial campaign is expected to emphasize these themes as key priorities in his platform.
