Nikki Haley calls host Sunny Hostin 'racist'. Here is why
Indian-origin former Governor of South Carolina and an important member of the Trump government Nikki Haley called ABC's The View host, Sunny Hostin 'racist'. Haley goes by her nickname, 'Nikki' just like Hostin herself.

According to the report, show presenter Alyssa Farah Griffin urged on Tuesday that Republicans should abandon Trump and favor other conservatives such as Haley and Representative Liz Cheney. Hostin rebuked, "Nikki Haley the chameleon and Liz Cheney the savior." "What is her actual name?" Griffin then intervened to defend Haley, but the two proceeded to exchange blows.
Griffin observed that "a lot of people don’t go by their actual real names."
Continuing to criticize the former governor, Hostin urged Haley to embrace her status as a woman of color. At that time, co-host Sara Haines interjected and refocused the conversation on the list of probable Republican presidential contenders.
Co-host Haines remarked it was not a justified accusation, since Sunny herself uses a nickname. Her actual name is Asunción
Griffin stated that Haley decided because she was an Indian woman from South Carolina who wanted to avoid discrimination. Hostin didn't relent but said, "Some of us can be chameleons" and can choose not to embrace our heritage to blend in.
Haley hit back on Twitter, saying it was racist of Sunny to judge her based on her name and the moniker "Nikki" appears even on her birth certificate.
