A source told PEOPLE that Nicole, who pulled the trigger to end her marriage, “feels very betrayed.” "Nicole's hurt and feels betrayed," PEOPLE quoted another source as saying. "It's devastating to her. She's shocked."

The Oscar winner, 58, officially filed for divorce from the country singer, 57, in Nashville courts. Earlier, TMZ had reported that Keith and Nicole's inner circle claimed that the country singer has moved on with another woman.

The Australian and American actress cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce, according to TMZ. According to the news outlet, the celebrity duo has already worked out a custody agreement and child support, and it also seems like they have agreed to take co-parenting classes.


The divorce document, which according to TMZ says "Marital Dissolution Agreement," was signed by both Nicole and Keith. The agreement includes a parenting plan and a child support worksheet along with a parenting seminar order.

“To Die For” star wants to remain the "primary residential parent of the minor children." The two have reportedly waived any spousal support and child support. However, according to a clause, Keith has prepaid "child support obligations." Both of them will retain their own assets. The couple has been married and living apart "since the beginning of summer."

According to the parenting plan, the kids will spend 306 days with Nicole and 59 days with Keith. They agreed that all major decisions involving their kids, including education and health care, will be made jointly.

The separation is one-sided, and Nicole did not want it, and she has been trying to save the marriage, according to reports. Nicole, who was previously married to Tom Cruise, has two daughters with Urban: Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.

Nicole and Keith, who married in June 2006, were last spotted out together at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis at GEODIS Park on June 20 in Nashville. The two also walked the red carpet together at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas, on May 8, 2025.

A source told PEOPLE, "Their lives were moving in different directions, and once he quietly set up his own place, it felt like the writing was on the wall."
