Accompanying the retirement news was a video from Nicky Jam's bio-series, "Nicky Jam: El Ganador," highlighting his journey from a troubled past to his current status as a prominent figure in Latin music. The video featured the song "Past Lives" by sapientdream.

Nicky Jam, whose real name is Nick Rivera Caminero, is known for his remarkable comeback in the music industry. After experiencing success in the 1990s, Jam faced struggles with addiction and depression. His move to Medellín, Colombia, in 2007 marked a turning point in his life. In his own words, "They made me feel like I was a legend. The boost they gave me made me want to be a better person." This transformation involved adopting a healthier lifestyle by quitting drugs and alcohol.


Since then, Nicky Jam has maintained his dedication to his career, achieving significant success. He has secured 17 top 10 songs on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, including five number one hits. On the Top Latin Albums chart, he has had three top 10 albums and one chart-topping release, "Fenix," in 2017, which held the number one position for eight weeks.

Additionally, Nicky Jam hosted his talk show, "The Rockstar Show," at Latin Music Week for the second year in a row. In this year's edition, he welcomed guests Ivy Queen and Jesús Ortiz Paz, the frontman of Fuerza Regida.
