NHL 26 Deluxe Edition will feature the Tkachuk family - Matthew and Brady will appear alongside father Keith - on the video game cover. EA Sports made the announcement ahead of the game's official launch this fall. The game is set to release on September 12, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Fans who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive exclusive bonuses, including seven days of early access, including Matthew Tkachuk at 99 OVR as an immediate reward in NHL 25, 4600 NHL Points, HUT Starter Choice Pack and much more.

EA Sports is set to deliver a more realistic experience in NHL 26, featuring enhanced gameplay and presentation. The game introduces ICE-Q 2.0 technology powered by NHL EDGE positional data, promising greater authenticity. Updates to the Be A Pro mode and other features round out the improvements for this year’s edition.

NHL 26 also debuts a new Goalie Crease Control System, designed to make goaltenders more responsive and realistic. According to EA Sports creative director Mike Inglehart, the game features the most significant Be A Pro update since NHL 21, adding depth and new elements to the popular career mode.

“My dad, Brady and I are all unique and play the way we want to,” NHL quoted Matthew, who is the only athlete on the Standard Edition cover, as saying. “Sharing the cover of NHL 26 is an extension of that."

The cover of last year's NHL 25 was also a family affair as Jack, Luke, and Quinn Hughes all appeared together on the game's Deluxe edition.

Matthew played a pivotal role in the Florida Panthers' consecutive Stanley Cup triumphs, including scoring the championship-winning goal in this year's final against the Edmonton Oilers.

18-year NHL veteran Keith, meanwhile, had an illustrious NHL career spanning 1,201 games across three franchises - the Jets/Coyotes, Blues, and Atlanta Thrashers. He tallied 538 goals and 1,065 points, setting a remarkable example for his sons to follow.
