The National Football League (NFL) is all set to announce its full schedule later this month. There are specific clubs that might not be having a great year ahead as they may face the toughest schedules this time around.

With a total of 32 teams, the NFL schedule is based on a set formula that takes into account the division finish along with the divisional opponents' rotation across both the conferences -- American Football Conference (AFC) and National Football Conference (NFC).

NFL schedule 2025: What to know?

Every time, a new year in the league rings in with a clean slate for all the teams across the NFL. However, the schedules for all the teams are not created equally. The NFL reportedly takes into account a side's finish during the last season, NFL Draft results, and the free agency moves that have taken place in recent times in order to decide schedules for the teams.

NFL schedule 2025: Toughest season

With a .574 opponent win percentage, the New York Giants brace themselves for another uphill task in the coming season after their last run ended with the third-worst record.

In total, the Giants are up for six major divisional games, which includes match-ups against sides like Washington and Philadelphia, both of which are considered better than them.

Since the NFC East matches are taking place in the AFC West this time, the Giants are also expected to be playing against Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos.

Apart from the Giants, the other sides that can witness toughest strength in terms of schedule in 2025 include Bears (.571), Lions (.571), Eagles (.561), Cowboys (.557), Packers (.557), Vikings (.557), Commanders (.550), Ravens (.533), Stellers (.526) and Chiefs (.522).

NFL schedule 2025: Easiest season

Taking into consideration the winning percentage of their opponents in the last season (.415), it appears that the San Francisco 49ers could be looking ahead at one of the easiest schedules in 2025.

The side is gearing up to play against teams like Rams and Cardinals two times during the divisional games.

Some of the teams with easiest schedules could include Saints (.419), Patriots (.429), Titans (.450), Panthers (.457), Cardinals (.457), Jets (.460), Colts (.464), Jaguars (.467), Bills (.467) and Seahawks (.474).
