NFL does not have any plans to get the world rid of a snow game yet. The league dismissed a rumor sourcing from a radio station in Pittsburgh that Pittsburgh Steelers-Buffalo Bills wild card playoff game on Sunday could be transferred to Cleveland because of weather conditions.

For Erie County which is Bills' Highmark Stadium's home in Orchard Park, NY, a winter storm watch is in operation. There is a probability of seven or greater inches of snow as well as heavy winds as per WGRZ.com.

The weather conditions are being monitored by the NFL as done by it in every game, however, there have been no discussions surrounding making changes to the status of the game as per the vice president of communications at NFL, Brian McCarthy.

History of the rumors

The rumors surrounding a probable movement to Cleveland have been making the rounds previously this week at the time of Marty Griffin, the KDKA Pittsburgh host saying that his boys work at the stadium in Cleveland and that he received a phone call for getting ready.

Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 in Pittsburgh, got sources in Buffalo, informing him that there is zero percent chance for the game to move, citing the information shared by Griffin.

Marty Griffin said that Steelers – Bill could be moving to Cleveland in the case of a declaration of emergency and lake-effect weather in Western New York on Sunday.

Fillipponi made a tweet that Brown stadium officials are told to be ready. The rumors were negated by the league afterwards.

While a Bills game was moved by the NFL against the Browns in 2022 to Ford Field in Detroit because of weather conditions, it is difficult to think of the league resulting in Buffalo giving up a home playoff game, playing closer to Pittsburgh.
