As the NFL Draft 2024 saw some whopping multimillion picks in the first round, the second and third rounds may see NFL players' contracts fall below the $30 million benchmark seen in the previous round, claim reports.

It was a busy day for NFL franchises in Detroit as the first round of the NFL Draft 2024 was underway which began with Caleb Williams being the No.1 pick for the Chicago Bears, who were scheduled to make the first call.

According to a previous ET report, the former Southern California quarterback will ink a deal of four years worth $38.5 million, including a signing bonus of $24.8 million and the option of extending the contract for the fifth year.

According to Forbes, the second and third rounds of NFL draft picks will not touch the $30 million mark, as was the case during the first round. Instead, the first picks during the second round are expected to touch $10 million, while the remaining picks of this round can make around $9 million.

As the contract values fall to the rookie zone just before the third round, NFL players picked in the third round can expect to sign a contract deal in the range of $5.5 million that may also include an option for a fifth-year extension, says Forbes.
