An unidentified man opened fire in the lobby of a New York hotel on Sunday. The shooter has not been identified. The Poughkeepsie police chief stated that a second ghost gun and materials used to make explosives were recovered from his hotel room at The Courtyard by Marriott in Poughkeepsie.
The gun thought to be used in the shooting was found on the roof of suspect’s car. It is semi-automatic and fitted with an illegal glock switch, which is used to convert a semi-automatic weapon into an automatic one. The authorities also found a 30-round high-capacity magazine in the suspect’s possession.
Search Warrant
Authorities have taken two men into custody concerning the case and are also executing a search warrant late on Sunday or Monday to check the suspect’s vehicle. It is believed that the vehicle contains Tannerite, and it is unclear why Tannerite and other materials used for making explosives were found in the suspect’s room. More details are expected on Monday.

The ornate jade-hilted dagger was commissioned by Jahangir, the fourth Mughal Emperor of India, in the early 17th century. The carved youth’s head on the hilt is speculated to be based on an ivory representation of Jesus.
Upon Jahangir’s death in 1627, the blade passed on to his son and successor, Shah Jahan, who reworked the blade and added two Mughal inscriptions to it — a royal umbrella and a fish. In the 1850s the dagger was also owned by Samuel FB Morse, the creator of the eponymous code and inventor of the telegraph, who was also an art collector.
