world's fastest car
Koenigsegg is giving Bugatti a tough contest in terms of the 'world's fastest car', as a new Koenigsegg in testing is reported to reach a whopping 311mph, making it the best option to beat the current world record holder of the fastest car in the world, Bugatti. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut's latest tests and simulation reports reveal that it is equipped to reach top speeds which have been untouched by other car manufacturers in the world till now, according to The Sun.

Koenigsegg set to beat world record for fastest car?

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolu' glimpse was seen once during Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022, and its flamboyant looms are just not the only factor that sets it apart from other supercars of competing manufacturers. Christian von Koenigsegg, the brainchild behind building these amazing hypercars, is confident of toppling Bugatti's record as the world's fastest car. There are one or two issues that they need to fix and resolve around this latest Koenigsegg model, after which it will be ready to compete amongst the best cars in the world.

Carbon-fibre build gives Koenigsegg the edge

According to reports, the makers are still unsure how the vehicle would respond on-road when these high-speeds are actually attained but it is also envisioned that the car can cross the simulation estimates of even 311mph. Christian von Koenigsegg's Jesko Absolut boasts of a carbon-fibre body, meaning that it will be comfortably lighter in comparison to other makes, but will also be sturdy due to the ready toughness of carbon elements.

Right rubber for vehicle tyres still a concern

A 1,578bhp flat-plane crank 5.1 litre V8 engine will be the powerhouse of this magnificent vehicle, that will give them the necessary boost to push for full throttle. However, there is a slight concern around the kind of tyres that should be used as inferior quality rubber may burn out at such high-intense speeds. Therefore, some plans around the right rubber of tyres is being contemplated upon by the makers after which it will be battle-ready.
