The English, a new western series, jointly produced by Amazon and BBC, will go on air on November 11. The new series, starring Emily Blunt, is the story of a woman's quest for revenge, set in 19th century America.

The English, a new six-episode western series, will be released on November 11. Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait for long for this 19th-century western drama set in America, as industry sources claim that filming for the series was completed in mid-2021.

The western genre remains popular, and millions of fans worldwide are streaming western-themed shows regularly. The success of Yellowstone is a good example. In addition, the series is a collaborative venture between the BBC and Amazon.

The November opening will be on BBC-Two in the UK and on Amazon in the U.S., Canada, Australia and several other countries. The series, however, is not going global from the November date.

The English: Storyline
The storyline traces the mid-American landscape of the 1890s. The protagonist Cornelia Locke, an aristocratic Englishwoman, arrives in the west on a revenge mission. She is on the look for the person she believes is responsible for her son's death. Instead, she comes across Eli Whipp, an ex-cavalry scout, and discovers their destinies are rooted in a shared past that must be defeated for survival. Their journey takes them across America, encountering several danger zones as they face a series of adventures.
