The virus can likely be spread through close contact, and younger children are at risk for exposure here. According to medics, the infection cannot be tamed through any drug currently. It is also highly contagious. The flu is strikingly similar to hand, foot and mouth disease. Just like the hand, foot, and mouth disease, if the virus outbreak is not prevented and controlled, there can be serious consequences for adults.

Reports suggest other symptoms include body ache, dehydration, diarrhea and vomiting. Limb color change has also been reported in some cases.

The disease is contagious, but not fatal, and how it spreads is still being investigated.
