In the crucial time of a 128-117 win over the Phoenix Suns, the star player Zion Williamson received the ball with an open court before him and manipulated the experience to offer a 360 windmill dunk which wouldn't have looked out of place as an NBA Slam Dunk Contest entry.

Zion Williamson finished the game with 35 points on 13-of-17 shooting, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal. None of his baskets made it outside the paint.

Of course, only some were impressed with Zion Williamson's dunking prowess. As Zion Williamson starts to take flight, you can hear a member of the Pelicans' crew exclaiming, "no."

“The larger than life television screen is something I just love. We watch live games here, and they play PS4 too. We watch a lot of the earlier games on this big screen. The jerseys here (see pic below) get rotated as we try to mix up the memorabilia. Every time you come here, there’s something new to see. My favourite is the Stephen Curry jersey — the first time he became an all-star.” — Yannick Colaco, Managing Director

“I used to be the national coach of India and visited many of the countries whose flags you see up here. I feel, this gives the space a slight international feel. NBA is going global. My favourites include Mizoram and Iran. I like this area because it’s private, but you still have access to everyone – so you can quickly pop out if you hear something you like. The smaller conference room is also a great place to have a quick meeting.” — Scott Flemming, Head of Basketball Operations

You may argue that jamming on a beaten team for showing off is terrible form, but let's be honest. People paid big money to witness Zion Williamson slam a basketball, among other things, at the Smoothie King Center.

They were able to see him dunk a basketball much better than usual. It may hurt the Phoenix Suns' emotions, which seems strange considering they are professionals. Still, the NBA is, at its core, an entertainment product, and it's challenging to fathom living in a world where Williamson's dunk isn't entertaining.

Yes, those two additional points won't assist the Pelicans in the long term outside of their media team's highlight videos, but they were the icing on the cake for the 17-8 Pelicans, who now lead the Western Conference.
