According to 'Deadline', Besson's film will go deeper into the origins of the character Prince Vladimir, who after the death of his beloved wife forswears god and is turned into a fanged fiend for his trouble. Though it is not officially announced, Landry Jones is most likely to play Dracula.

Another Dracula movie likely to hit the screen this year is Robert Eggers' 'Nosferatu'. It features Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, and Lily-Rose Depp. This vampire film is set to be released on December 25, 2024.
