Netflix is continuing to expand its content on the Asian American experience with the upcoming release of "Beef," a 10-episode dramedy series created by Lee Sung Jin, known for creating successful ventures, such as "Silicon Valley," "Tuca” and “Bertie," and more. The show follows the story of two strangers, Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, and Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a self-made entrepreneur with a dramatic life, whose paths cross during a road rage incident.
After spending most of 2022 in post-production, the hotly anticipated series will premiere at the 2023 SXSW Festival on March 18, 2023, before being released on Netflix on April 6, 2023. Along with Yeun and Wong, "Beef" features an impressive cast, including David Choe, Young Mazino, Joseph Lee, Patti Yasutake, Maria Bello, Ashley Park, Justin H. Min, Andrew Santino, Rekstizzy, Mia Serafino, and Remy Holt.
